5Cr9Si3 is a new medium-carbon martensitic valve steel. Compared to traditional valve steels like 4Cr9Si2, 5Cr9Si3 boasts a higher carbon content, resulting in excellent hardenability. The combination of silicon and chromium in the steel also enhances its oxidation and corrosion resistance. 5Cr9Si3 offers a high cost-performance ratio and has been successfully used in the manufacture of engine intake valves, although its current domestic market usage is relatively low.

A commonly used medium-carbon quenched and tempered structural steel. This steel exhibits average cold plasticity, and annealing and normalizing improve slightly compared to quenching and tempering. It offers high strength and good machinability. Appropriate heat treatment can impart a certain degree of toughness, plasticity, and wear resistance. The material is readily available. Suitable for hydrogen welding and argon arc welding, but less suitable for gas welding. Preheating is required before welding, and stress relief annealing should be performed after welding.
Normalizing improves the cutting performance of blanks with a hardness less than 160 HBS. After quenching and tempering, this steel's overall mechanical properties surpass those of other medium-carbon structural steels. It can be used as a core material for various shafts, such as motor shafts, fan shafts, and guide rails.

53Cr21Mn9Ni4N, referred to as 21-4N, is the main steel grade currently used in the manufacture of engine valves in countries around the world. It is based on austenite with carbon and nitrogen compounds dispersed as precipitation hardening phases to obtain sufficient high-temperature strength, toughness, hardness, wear resistance, as well as structural stability under hot and cold alternating conditions, oxidation resistance, and resistance to lead oxide corrosion.

304 is a versatile stainless steel widely used in equipment and components requiring excellent overall performance (corrosion resistance and formability). To maintain stainless steel's inherent corrosion resistance, the steel contains at least 18% chromium and at least 8% nickel. 304 stainless steel is a grade produced in accordance with US ASTM standards.
Common marking methods on the market include 06Cr19Ni10 and SUS304, among which 06Cr19Ni10 generally indicates production according to national standards, 304 generally indicates production according to ASTM standards, and SUS 304 indicates production according to Japanese standards.

303 stainless steel is an austenitic free-cutting stainless steel that is wear-resistant and acid-resistant. To improve the performance of the steel, no more than 0.60% molybdenum can be added to the steel to make it resistant to ablation.
303 is a free-cutting stainless steel containing sulfur and selenium, respectively. It is used in applications where free-cutting and a high surface finish are key requirements. 303 stainless steel improves cutting performance and resists high-temperature bonding. It is suitable for automatic lathes, bolts, and nuts.

It features ultra-low carbon, soft magnetic properties, high operating frequency, and superior cutting performance, making drilling and slotting easy. This completely eliminates the problems of tool sticking and poor cutting performance associated with ordinary electrical pure iron. It is suitable for complex electromagnetic components, electrical materials, and solenoid valve moving cores.
