Product Introduction
80 steel has an average carbon content of 8.0% and is suitable for manufacturing coil springs and leaf springs with lower strength and smaller cross-sections, as well as for mechanical parts subject to wear. Its performance is similar to that of 65 steel, with a higher hardness than 70 steel. Its elasticity is slightly lower than that of 65 steel, but its strength is higher and its hardenability is lower. It is generally used in the quenched and tempered state.
