42Cr9Si2 martensitic heat-resistant stainless steel round bar valve steel
4Cr9Si2 is primarily used in the manufacture of high-temperature components for boilers, steam turbines, power machinery, industrial furnaces, and aviation, petrochemical, and other industrial sectors. In addition to high-temperature strength and resistance to high-temperature oxidation corrosion, these components also require sufficient toughness, good machinability and weldability, and a certain degree of structural stability, depending on the application. China began producing heat-resistant steel in 1952. Subsequently, new low-alloy heat-resistant steels were developed, raising the operating temperature of pearlite heat-resistant steels to 600-620°C. In addition, several new low-chromium-nickel oxidation-resistant steel grades were developed.
